WORK INJURY CASE VALUED OVER $5,000,000
Attorney Ziad Rawa helped represent a roofer who fell from a 12 feet high roof. The Roofer was seriously injured. The roofer signed a curve out agreement. Under the curve out agreement the case has to be litigated outside the jurisdiction of the WCAB system.Mr. Rawa successfully litigated the case and have the insurance to agree to 100% disability rating and keeping all future medical open. Under the settlement agreement the injured worker will receive a disability payments for life.
Additionally, Mr. Rawa filed a lawsuit against the employer for Serious and Wilful and he brought in a handsome settlement as well.

A PERSONAL INJURY BUS ACCIDENT $2,000,000
Attorney Ziad Rawa successfully prosecuted a personal injury claim for a bus accident. The plaintiff a single woman who filed a claim in behalf of her minor son. The minor was walking to his school in the morning and while he was crossing the street on a crossing area, he was struck by the bus. He suffered some head injuries and broken hand. The defendant was forced to settle the case for $2,000,000. The settlement reinvested for the minor which brought over $5,500,000 value.

A WAGE AND HOUR CLASS ACTION CASE FOR UNPAID OVERTIME WAS SETTLED FOR $6,500,000.00
An employer who has his employees clock in at the time they come in to warehouse and clock out at the time they leave the warehouse, which is OK. However the greedy employer does not pay his employees for any time worked by the employees before the shift starts. Also the employees are not compensated for few minutes they usually work after the shift ends.Along with his associates Mr. Rawa successfully, prosecuted the claim and managed to secure a very good settlement for the class.

A WAGE AND HOUR CLASS ACTION CASE FOR ROUNDING MISCALCULATION WAS SETTLED FOR 1,500,000.00
An employer was miscalculating the rounding pay at the start and the end of the shift. When an employee clocks in for more than 7.50 minutes it should be rounded to a quarter of an hour. But if the employee clocks in for less 7.50 minutes then the employee would get zero minutes. However after inspection it was found that the employer account only for the times the employee clocks in for less than 7.50 minutes and disregards and time if the employee on the clock for more than 7.50.Along with other associates Mr. Rawa successfully, prosecuted the claim and managed to secure a very handsome settlement.
